Inspiration Nation: Becky McDonough-Monster Truck Driver

Monster Truck driver, Becky McDonough, may be petite but she can fly a 12-foot-tall, 10,000-pound truck up 35 feet. The 24-year-old Minneapolis native discovered her passion for cruising colossal vehicles after attending her first truck jam in 2003. Today, she is a Wyoming Technical Institute graduate; a crew chief of Travis Pastrana’s truck, Nitro Circus; and travels all over North and South America for monster truck competitions.
When a reporter asked how the male drivers feel about her competing against them she said, “When I first started driving I heard that the guys were placing bets on how long I would last, but once they realized I could do it they accepted me and treat me like any other driver.”
