Crush of the Week: The Oatmeal’s Matthew Inman

Matthew Inman, creator of The Oatmeal, is our Crush of the Week because his comics get us through plenty of awful days, and his book, 5 Very Good Reasons to Punch a Dolphin in the Mouth, is # 5 on the New York Times Best Sellers List. The Seattle-based, boyishly handsome web designer, developer, and online marketer is an inspiration to us. He was once a 9-5er who hated his job  and decided to become an entrepreneur by creating Mingle², the “most successful dating site in the world.” After selling Mingle² to a competitor, he launched The Oatmeal and never looked back.

Matt is not a cold-hearted genius like other web entrepreneurs. He provides his readers with innocuous tips and quizzes that could be useful in our everyday life, such as 10 Reasons It Would Rule To Date a Unicorn or How Many Justin Biebers Can You take in a Fight. Thank you kind sir, thank you!
