On March 10th of every year, National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD) is observed to encourage the public to help fight against HIV/AIDS and boost awareness of its impact on women and girls.

In support of NWGHAAD, hundreds of stylish bloggers have united for the 3rd annual Rock The Red Pump campaign in connection to The Red Pump Project. Launched by Luvvie Ajayi and Karyn Watkins, the red shoe is a representation of women affected directly and indirectly with HIV/AIDS, and encourages women to team up with organizations in their communities to promote HIV/AIDS testing, prevention and discussion. The goal is get 500 bloggers to spread the word by the end of March.
